Job Description:
Oversee the daily operations of the emergency department to ensure high-quality patient care.
Develop and implement department policies and procedures.
Collaborate with medical staff to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Manage budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
Lead and mentor a team of emergency department professionals.
Education And Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of Alabama.
Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or related certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency nursing with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Skills And Qualifications:
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technologies.
