Director of Marketing & Advocacy for ABLE Savings Plans

In this pivotal role, you will help shape the marketing strategies and build the brand presence for ABLE savings plans. Your proactive approach and ownership mindset will enable you to manage outreach, messaging strategies, and tactics autonomously. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, including clients, leadership, and internal teams, serving as a trusted resource providing expert knowledge and guidance.

Your responsibilities will involve building and maintaining relationships with national disability groups, nonprofits, local organizations, and employers to ensure the success of our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Marketing Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive marketing plans for ABLE savings plans that align with company objectives.
  • Product Launch Campaigns: Lead the development and execution of product feature launch campaigns to ensure strong market entry and brand awareness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align marketing efforts with product features and customer needs through close collaboration with product, relationship management, and client services teams.
  • Partnership Building: Identify and cultivate partnerships to enhance brand visibility and outreach.
  • Messaging & Positioning: Craft clear messaging that conveys the unique value of ABLE savings plans to prospective savers and advocacy groups.
  • Content Development: Create marketing collateral, website content, and resources to support outreach.
  • Market Research & Insights: Conduct research to analyze trends and gather insights for effective marketing strategies.
  • Performance Tracking: Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate marketing initiatives’ success.
  • Presentations & Advocacy: Develop engaging presentations to promote ABLE savings plans and drive awareness.
  • Compliance: Ensure all marketing activities adhere to legal and compliance processes.
  • Creative Collaboration: Oversee marketing agency projects related to creative briefs, copy, and design.
  • Public Thought Leadership: Contribute to public relations efforts through content creation and as a media spokesperson when needed.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the disability community is essential.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience, preferably in sales and marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of investment products, like 529 or 401(k) plans, is highly desired.
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a passion for innovative programs.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and lead cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Capable of setting marketing agendas aligned with growth objectives and driving action-inspiring programs.
