Job Description: Senior Manager of Marketing Operations
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced marketer with a talent for managing both technology platforms (such as Hubspot, Asana, VWO, Google Analytics, etc.) and teams to join us as the Senior Manager of Marketing Operations. This role will oversee marketing resources, technology, and staff across multiple brands to ensure that all marketing and revenue goals are met.
You will lead a team including a Content Manager, Email Marketing Manager, Senior Graphic Designer, and Marketing Coordinator, ensuring their efforts are well-coordinated across various brand demands. This position plays a crucial role in building workflows and processes within the department and across other departments to ensure smooth operations and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage a team of four employees, balancing their efforts across multiple brands to achieve marketing goals.
Budget Management: Track expenses across various brands, ensuring adherence to the marketing budget.
Technology Integration: Oversee the marketing automation software suite, setting up new integrations, maintaining platform communication, and maximizing the use of our martech stack.
Performance Tracking: Define, manage, and build reports and dashboards to measure marketing performance, working closely with business intelligence to analyze key opportunities.
Advertising Management: Direct the efforts of an advertising agency to meet ambitious revenue targets, manage a healthy paid media budget, and collaborate with the Performance Marketing and Analytics Manager to monitor campaign impacts and design experiments to boost revenue.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in marketing operations.
Team Management: Proven experience managing small marketing teams and budgets.
Project Management: Strong project management skills.
Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with a full suite of marketing automation software, including HubSpot, VWO, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Amplitude, Looker, Wordpress, Gravity Forms, Magento, ZenDesk, ShareaSale, Sprout, Asana, and legacy accounts with Salesforce and Mailchimp.
Data-Driven: Comfort using data to drive key performance indicators and make informed marketing decisions.
Budget Management: Experience managing six-figure budgets for paid marketing channels, including paid social, paid search, and display advertising.
Analytical Skills: Expertise in Excel and Google Sheets, with non-trivial analytics experience in a data-rich environment.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Process Optimization: Experience in implementing and optimizing processes, procedures, and tools.
Direct Response Marketing: Fluent in direct response marketing concepts and best practices.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communicator, great collaborator, and team player.
Passion for Growth: Enthusiastic about testing and pushing the boundaries of growth opportunities.
Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot when needed.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the screenwriting or related industries is a plus, but not required.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $130,000—$145,000 USD, commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business needs. The compensation range for candidates in different locations may vary based on local cost of labor.
