Base pay range

$165,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr

IEM is the largest independent full-line manufacturer of electrical distribution and control systems in North America. The Company has developed one of the most sophisticated electrical product manufacturing systems in the world and has cultivated partnerships with leading component suppliers resulting in optimal solutions to customer problems. IEM has offices in California, Florida, Canada and Belgium.



PURPOSE OF POSITION:

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Director of People Experience & Talent Development to join our growing team and Company



This pivotal role will drive our efforts in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while ensuring a positive and engaging employee experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with a focus on creating and implementing strategies that enhance the overall employee journey.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


Employee Experience:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that aligns with our company’s mission, values, and goals, ensuring all HR practices, programs, and interactions reflect these values.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement throughout the employee life cycle by implementing initiatives to enhance satisfaction, retention, and overall well-being.
  • Lead/develop recognition programs that celebrate and reward employee achievements and contributions across the organization.
  • Develop strategies, structure, and methods for driving employee engagement across the company, including but not limited to quarterly engagement events and Year-End events.
  • Drive an employee listening program to gather and analyze feedback, using insights to drive improvements and address concerns.
  • Chair a committee of culture and engagement ambassadors dedicated to advancing our workplace culture in alignment with IEM’s growth and values.
  • Establish corporate diversity policies, procedures, and lead all aspects of the diversity program s.
  • Build collaborative relationships and strategic alliances with internal and external individuals, organizations and constituencies that are important to IEM diversity objectives.


Talent Managements:

  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with Key Leaders and cross-functional partners to implement performance management initiatives and programs across lines of business.
  • Develop programs, tools, materials, and learning initiatives to enable readiness, manage change, create adoption, and instill ownership across the company.
  • Ensure a clear communication strategy is set for any talent programs or products you manage; ensure specific communications are delivered just in time with the clarity needed for the targeted audience.
  • Ensure the talent management programs and products managed are aligned with our talent philosophy and seamlessly integrated into HR technology, tools, and practices, including the HRIS and people support functions.
  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent management programs and make data-driven decision.
  • Oversee and build succession planning and career pathing initiatives to ensure organizational readiness for future growth.


Collaboration and Partnership:

  • Work closely with HR colleagues in Learning & Development, Compensation, Legal, and HR Programs to implement holistic solutions that enhance the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with regional HR partners to ensure alignment of engagement initiatives across global locations.
  • Partner with Employee Relations to address and resolve employee concerns and issues.
  • Provide coaching and support to leaders at all levels to ensure they are equipped to foster a positive employee experience.
  • Partner with senior leadership to embed engagement principles into management practices.
  • Performs other duties as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other relevant field.
  • 5+ years of human resource management experience, with emphasis on employee engagement and diversity & inclusion (or related field).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
  • Ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Analytical and technical skills.
  • Strong group facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
