About Rally On Media


Rally On Media is a video production company + ad agency based in Brooklyn, NY. We've done everything from create Olympics commercials airing primetime on NBC to documentaries to social ads to startup pitch videos.


My co-founder and I were management consultants when we quit our jobs to drive a car around the world (London → Mongolia, New York → Patagonia), while filming a TV show for Lonely Planet. This is how we get into storytelling, which got us into production, which now gets us into advertising.


On the startup side, we own the niche of equity crowdfunding - i.e., online capital raising. We're pretty dang good at it. We've helped companies raise more than $200M in the last 4 years and have developed a reputation as the go-to creative agency in the world of equity crowdfunding.


Until now, our business was all video production. Now we're building out our performance team.

💼 About the job


We're seeking a Director of Growth Marketing to run the performance side of our business for our fundraising clients. This job is fully remote.


These clients do everything from curing cancer, to building lawn mowing robots, to distilling good ol' whiskey. You’ll get a ground floor look into what innovative startups across sectors are creating. In this role you will handle the yin and the yang of internal and external stakeholders:


  • Lead clients: Work directly with our clients to drive their fundraising campaigns to new heights. In this pivotal (and remote) role, you'll develop and execute strategies to help startups raise $1M-$20M+ through various digital marketing channels – whatever it takes.


  • Lead our internal team: You'll help build and lead our team of copywriters, designers, and paid media specialists while managing client relationships and optimizing campaign performance.


Specifically, you’ll oversee that team as they create the materials for the fundraise during our pre-launch phase, and then lead the team on executing the ongoing marketing to raise the funds.

  • 🌎 Well Rounded: A 360-degree approach to scale conversions, drive investor engagement and retention, while maximizing our client’s marketing spend. You will fill in opportunity gaps across all funnels and optimize strategies to achieve business goals.

Here are the specific responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing plans including paid media, email, text, social media, and content marketing, across a wide range of industries
  • Advise the creative team as they develop campaign fundraising materials to make sure they are created to maximize the probability we meet client fundraising goals
  • Forecast, measure, and analyze digital campaign performance across the funnel. Oversee the process of campaign testing, analysis, and optimization for continuous improvement
  • Work with our clients directly to keep them engaged, excited, and on the same page
  • Manage an internal team of creatives and marketers to deliver on campaigns


Requirements and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in customer acquisition and growth marketing at an advertising agency
  • Direct client management experience
  • Expertise in Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Retargeting, CRO, and SEO, including the ability to execute when necessary.
  • Expertise with acquisition analysis, and A/B testing
  • Familiarity with copywriting principles, email marketing, and design
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of mobile performance marketing, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills


Nice to haves

  • Experience in fintech, crowdfunding, or startup ecosystems
  • Relevant marketing certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint)
  • Experience in a client facing role
  • Experience managing budgets of $1M and above
  • Experience building a team and process from the ground up
