Support Project Development Efforts: Collaborate with team members to facilitate greenfield projects in selected markets. Responsibilities include land assessments, interconnect studies, agreement obligations, contract administration, surveys, and other due diligence efforts.
GIS and Project Origination: Take charge of prospecting analytics and project origination activities. Research and gather critical data on markets, energy infrastructure, land, grid, regulatory frameworks, permitting regimes, and incentives. Efficiently screen and rank project opportunities.
Project Reporting and Coordination: Create and review project reports, deliverable summaries, budgets, schedules, contracts, and other relevant documents for active projects. Interface with external project development partners to coordinate deliverables under development agreements.
Project Management and Financial Oversight: Implement and maintain a project development and management platform. Report on project and pipeline-level spend, progress, and critical matters. Liaise with Finance and Accounts regarding pipeline spend projections, budgets, payment obligations, and management reporting.
Project Pipeline Maintenance: Keep project pipeline and summaries up-to-date to support Offtake and Financing activities.
Decision Documents and Investment Approval: Collaborate with team members to create pipeline decision documents justifying incremental spend on each project. Assist in developing investment committee papers for project approvals.
Project Opportunity Assessment: Review project acquisition data rooms, assess project status, articulate investment commitments, identify risks, and summarize project opportunities.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant work in the renewable energy development space
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or in an energy related field
Hands on experience in CAISO and ERCOT markets
Experience with creation and management of contracts, schedules, and budgets
