We're hiring! We are looking for a Senior Data Center Planning & Development Engineer to play a key role in executing EdgeConneX global expansion plans. In this role, you'll blend analytical and creative thinking with relationship-building skills to assess opportunities and guide recommendations that align with our growth objectives. You will manage the engineering for new data center locations and provide expert technical advice to support decision-making for large-scale regional expansion projects. Responsibilities - Support site assessment and validation for new data center developments - Provide initial test-fits and conceptual designs - Work with local utilities and guide entitlement and permitting discussions - Review due diligence findings and identify project risks and mitigating strategies - Develop high-level project development plans and support initial budget estimates - Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, partners, and stakeholders to expedite development activities Qualifications - 5+ years of construction and development experience - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural, Civil Engineering, or MEP - Strong knowledge of electrical & mechanical systems in data centers - Experience in hyperscale data center design, industrial construction, or telecommunications is a plus - Ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and work independently in a fast-paced environment If you're a proactive problem solver with a passion for data center development, we want to hear from you!
