About The Role

HomeSafe Alliance is seeking highly skilled and motivated Director of Operational Excellence to support operations in the movement of household goods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistently exceptional and efficient operations through the evaluation, measurement, and continuous improvement of policies, practices, processes, systems, and USTRANSCOM service member customer experience.
• Support Operational Excellence team in the journey of Lean initiatives through the enhancement of the company's long range strategic plan to drive quality performance.
• Drive Execution of the Lean and continuous improvement methodology as applicable through local management to deliver successful productivity, cost reduction and/or quality improvement initiatives.
• Champion formal training and on-going growth and development across all operations personnel.
• Work on Process Improvement Flow-maps required for Operational Excellence.
• Develops and implements a management system designed around Key Performance Indicators that measure and improve delivery performance, asset utilization, customer quality, inbound delivery, and other measures.
• Delivers expertise to facilitate the development of initial assessments, initiative design documents and monitoring of program and activities.
• Collaborate with multiple department and function leads on various projects and initiatives.
• Continuously remove waste, friction, and frustration from operational processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Education And Experience

• Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 15+ years of experience, 5 of which should be in logistics management or industry.
• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics/supply chain, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior household good experience required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience.

• Power BI experience preferred.
• Experience building and developing cross functional teams to solve problems and deliver excellent results.
  
  

Note: This position is fully remote / work from home. HomeSafe will supply appropriate equipment, employee provided high speed internet is required.
