Job Description Summary

The Director of Project Management will oversee the successful delivery of all projects within the Facilities and Real Estate organization. This individual will lead a team of market based project managers, establish and enforce project management standards, and ensure that all projects align with organizational goals, budgets, and timelines. The role requires strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, and a strong focus on continuous improvement to drive excellence in project execution.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Lifecycle Project Leadership:
    • Lead the teams responsible for the execution of projects from concept to completion, setting deadlines, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring successful delivery for both vendor and internal projects.
  • Oversee Project Delivery:
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of all facilities and real estate projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Monitor project performance through key metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed to meet goals.
  • Develop and Implement Project Management Standards:
    • Create, establish, and continuously improve the project management framework, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    • Ensure consistent application of project management standards across all projects, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop strategic project plans in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize projects, allocate resources, and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
    • Drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement among team members.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all project-related matters.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and communications, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
    • Work with finance teams to develop and manage capital and operational budgets related to project initiatives.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and manage potential risks to project delivery, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as necessary.
    • Establish protocols for risk assessment and management to proactively address challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Evaluate project outcomes and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
    • Implement lessons learned from past projects to refine project management practices and enhance future performance.
  • Vendor and Contract Management:
    • Oversee the selection and management of vendors, contractors, and consultants, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Reporting and Communication:
    • Develop and present project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to senior leadership.
    • Communicate project updates, successes, and challenges effectively to all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management within facilities, real estate, construction, or a related industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and best practices.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale projects and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, Cushman and Wakefield provide eligible employees with competitive pay, which may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $182,750.00 - $215,000.00
