Job Description:

Responsible for the conceptual design, component specification, system hardware design and programming. Will work closely with other engineers and technical staff. Responsibilities also include providing engineering support for field service technicians and providing technical training at client facilities as needed. Supports the existing products and work within the constraints of existing methods and standards. Approximately 20% domestic travel is required and international travel is a possibility.

Responsibilities:

• Requires the ability to apply the principles of electrical and electronic theory and related experience to design, program and troubleshoot state of the art packaging machinery.
• Knowledge to read and troubleshoot ladder logic within motion controls.
• Must have design problem solving skills and be able to work in a team environment
• Create wiring schematic, program diagrams, and complete bill of materials
• Must be able to program servo drives (AB)
• Strong communication skills
• Works well within a team environment but can also be self-directed when required
• Strong time management skills
• Attention to detail and pride in work
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar with five or more years of experience in the design of capital equipment machinery. (Or equivalent work experience in the packaging industry).
• Demonstrated experience in the design of Stepper motor, Servo, and touch screen controlled capital equipment systems or machinery.
• Specific experience in the Packaging industry a plus.
