Electrical Engineer

Job Expo Connect Social Circle, GA

Our client is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join their team in Social Circle, GA. This role offers full relocation and a negotiable sign-on bonus. Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, the successful candidate will ensure all equipment complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. They will track engineering expenses and capital budgeting compliance, and support the design, installation, modification, and maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, and facilities. Additionally, they will provide necessary support to the production organization to promote the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform activities involving continuous improvement tools, analyze product irregularities, recommend solutions, and facilitate cost-reduction initiatives
  • Assist in training and instruction of team members, and provide day-to-day floor support
  • Identify unacceptable performance through analysis and technical knowledge of the product and process, including waste and cost reduction
  • Prepare cost estimates, financially justify projects, prepare budgets, review designs, and supervise installation and commissioning
  • Research new equipment, systems, and processes to advance plant operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards by working with appropriate associates on EHS issues, implementing MSRs, and improving communication across relevant departments
  • Participate in contractor management processes and periodically audit contractors' work to ensure safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working with multi-disciplinary Engineering and Maintenance teams to achieve cost-effective goals
  • Experience in equipment design, project engineering, or plant management is preferred
  • Proficiency in computer-based technology, including interpreting and creating technical CAD drawings and schematics
  • Ability to understand electrical or mechanical diagrams, program and debug programming languages, and troubleshoot machine problems
  • Knowledge of designing electrical control systems and modern safety control systems
