Essential Functions

  • Designs and simulates electronic circuits, applying past experience to execute projects with minimal to no supervision.
  • Optimizes circuit designs to enhance performance, minimize costs, and ensure manufacturability through proactive decision-making.
  • Develop and executes PCB layouts using tools like Altium Designer and maintaining best practices for high-quality design.
  • Collaborates with mechanical engineers to ensure electrical designs are compatible and integrated seamlessly into overall systems.
  • Leads testing and validation efforts, preparing test setups and managing data collection to verify technical compliance.
  • Utilizes advanced electronic testing equipment to analyze performance issues, providing data-driven resolutions.
  • Develops and debugs firmware for microcontrollers with a focus on improving embedded programming efficiency and reliability.
  • Coordinates with software teams on firmware integration into the overall system software architecture, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Creates manufacturing guidelines and quality assurance procedures to enhance product integrity and streamline production processes.
  • Implements emerging technologies, staying current with industry trends to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantages.
  • Documents design processes and technical results, independently creating detailed technical reports and providing valuable insights.
  • Participates in ongoing product evaluation and redesign, incorporating innovative technologies and improving reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or any equivalent education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been demonstrated/achieved.
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in PCB design and layout techniques utilizing Altium Designer and similar software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of embedded systems architecture and microcontroller programming (ARM, STM32, Nordic).
  • Demonstrated experience with Zephyr RTOS.
  • Demonstrated experience with simulation software (e.g., LTspice, MATLAB) to analyze circuits and systems for efficient designs.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols, such as I2C, SPI, UART; and wireless protocols, such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
  • Advanced programming skills in languages used for embedded systems, such as C, C++.

Pay Range: $80,852-$108,000/yr

Exact Compensation May Vary Based On Skills And Experience.
