COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Longfellow Energy, LP is a privately owned domestic oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We engage primarily in the exploration and development of new projects in onshore US basins where we target underdeveloped or overlooked hydrocarbon reserves.
Longfellow Energy was founded in 2006 by Malone Mitchell, 3rd, and is based out of Dallas, Texas. We are a small, family-oriented, aggressive company with a substantial capital structure.
PURPOSE:
The Regulatory Analyst will work primarily with the engineering group and secondarily support the Sr. Engineering Tech and Regulatory Specialist and the engineering team and management. He, or she, will have good communication skills and be able to effectively work in a team environment to add efficiency to the department. The job will generally consist of data management, reporting, and regulatory filings in New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geography, earth science, geology, or some other science degree.
Experience:
General office working conditions are in an office environment. When working in the office, the workstation may have little or no privacy. Involves extended periods of sitting at a workstation performing computer duties. There may be a constant flow of interruptions by personnel, visitors to the area, and telephone calls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate the submittal and approval of regulatory filings, including drill permit applications, completions reports, sundry reports, SWD applications, and air permits
- Coordinate the submittal and approval of surface rights with the federal and state agencies related to pipeline right of ways, well pads, water impoundments, and easements
- Support the monthly and annual federal and state reporting requirements related to oil and gas operations
- To support all corporate regulatory filings with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Texas Railroad Commission or any other state or federal agency as required
- To provide data, and support, to accounting or other departments where engineering or production data is required
- To provide additional technical support, as directed, related to engineering data QC and analysis

Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geography, earth science, geology, or some other science degree.
Experience:
- Zero to five years’ experience filing with the Texas Railroad Commission, Oklahoma Corporation Commission, New Mexico Oil Conservation Division, New Mexico State Land Office, or the Bureau of Land Management.
- GIS and mapping knowledge
- Ability to manage, manipulate, and organize electronic data
- Excellent English communication both written and verbal
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
