Purpose of Job

• Play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of both rotating and fixed equipment for the Green Bayou and Winnie facilities
• Instrumental in improving our mechanical integrity programs
• Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations
  
  
  

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

• Development and implementation of mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs
• Provide engineering and technical support for daily maintenance activities, and for unit shutdowns
• Investigate equipment failure incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Assure quality control programs are up to date and followed for maintenance activities while ensuring that all SHE systems are upheld
• Provide engineering support to other departments as required
• Oversee Mechanical Design Review for new equipment to ensure that they meet current design standards
• Implement process equipment modifications and abide by MOC process
• Play an active role in shutdown planning to ensure inspections and repairs are carried out per ASME/API requirements
• Lead continuous improvement efforts, such as identifying, tracking, and analyzing solutions for site’s Bad Actor Program
• Supervise Sasol’s Mechanical Integrity Inspector
  
  
  

Formal Education

University Bachelors Degree in Engineering: Mechanical

Working Experience

Experience: 3+ relevant years in Engineering: Mechanical
