Today we hosted a successful Official Grand Opening for Sasol Blandford Road. A huge thank you to all our stakeholders for coming through to celebrate with us today.

Yesterday, Sasol colleagues welcomed one of South Africa’s best music stars, Big Zulu, as he took to the stage at the #Secunda site to encourage colleagues to sign up for the #SasolRewards Programme. For just over two hours, the Secunda internal fire station was abuzz as colleagues sang along some of #BigZulu's pop songs such as #Imalieningi and #Umbayimbayi. This employee activation aims to attract more Sasolites to sign up for the Sasol Rewards programme, which since its launch in April 2022, has attracted just over 1.8-million members. Also voted “Best Newcomer Loyalty Programme” at the South African Loyalty Awards last year, the Sasol Rewards pays you back for spending on fuel and in-store.    On arrival, Papi Mzizi, Vice President: SHE ROAS warmly welcomed Big Zulu and thanked him for this momentous occasion where colleagues were given an opportunity to interact, sing along and dance with our Sasol Rewards champion. One of our colleagues did not shy away from bringing a pencil sketch of Big Zulu, which earned him a place on stage.   To wrap up, colleagues posed for photos with Big Zulu as well as purchase Sasol Rewards merchandise. Thank you to our SHE, Security and Fire Station colleagues as well as the organising team for going all out to ensure maximum security for everyone.   A special thank you goes to all our colleagues who came out in numbers and made this activation fun and enjoyable. Sasol's newly appointed Vice President: Safety, Health and Environment, Quintin Chetty successfully hosted his first Townhall on Wednesday, 30 October 2024 at the At Stander auditorium in Secunda.    The session began with an ice-breaker where colleagues in the room were given an opportunity to introduce themselves to the team. Those in attendance took part in a mentimeter, where they were given an opportunity to show how much they know about the VP.    Quintin took to the podium after the mentimeter and shared about his background before moving on to the business of the day. The newly appointed VP set out the strategic goals and top priorities for the SHE teams before outlining the Secunda Operations and Projects and Engineering SHE structures.    The VP ended off by discussing what diversity means for SHE before moving on to the questions and answers.   In closing, Quintin reminded colleagues that at Sasol, safety is at the heart of everything we do. He urge all our colleagues to continue adhering to our lifesaving rules at all times.   Well done Quintin for taking the baton and setting clear safety goals that will take Sasol forward. Hello Sasol Blandford!

The journey to reach our aspired future is deeply personal to me.   Growing up in a rural South African community without amenities like running water, electricity, and sanitation, I quickly learned the value of resourcefulness and community.   We drew water from a well, taking only what we needed and ensuring enough remained for everyone else. These experiences taught me the importance of stewardship and demonstrated the power of collective effort in overcoming challenges.   My vision for Sasol is to sustainably improve the lives of our customers and communities, empowered by inspired people.   This vision is more than a statement to me; it is a commitment to placing our customers at the heart of everything we do, working collaboratively to solve their most complex challenges, and positioning Sasol as their partner of choice.   Central to this vision is our investment in the people of Sasol. By cultivating a safe and inclusive environment and fostering critical capabilities, we will reignite our innovation spirit.   Our proactive engagement with key stakeholders – including our host governments, fenceline communities, and providers of capital – will enable us to balance business needs with broader societal expectations.
