We are currently hiring an entry-level Environmental Analyst to work in the Environmental Division's Phase I ESA Environmental Due Diligence Program in our Buffalo, NY office. LaBella's growing Phase I ESA Environmental Due Diligence Program is one of the largest and most established in Upstate New York and is quickly expanding into other geographies throughout the Eastern United States.
LaBella's due diligence practice services a wide variety of clients consisting of municipalities, developers, attorneys, and financial institutions, each requiring client-centric and sometimes creative solutions. In addition to environmental due diligence services, LaBella's program provides construction risk due diligence services including the completion of Property Condition Assessments, Plan and Cost Reviews, and Construction Draw Inspections. The size, expected growth, and geographies serviced by LaBella's Due Diligence Program creates a unique and exciting opportunity for the professional growth of the right candidate while working with some of the region's most experienced environmental professionals within the environmental due diligence/environmental consulting industry.
In this role, the successful candidate will complete the following responsibilities:
Prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Transaction Screen ESAs, and Records Search with Risk Assessment (RSRA) reports with the support of Environmental Due Diligence Program senior staff/Project Manager
Assist in the completion of Property Condition Assessments, Plan and Cost Reviews, and Construction Draw Inspections with the support of Construction Risk senior staff
Conduct site visits throughout, but not limited to, the Buffalo metropolitan area
Obtain, review, and interpret historical, regulatory, and municipal records
Report findings to due diligence team leaders and evaluate environmental risk
Independently manage due diligence assignments and meet project deliverable schedules
Requirements
BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering or a related field of study
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs
Experience with Quire software a plus
Experience with environmental due diligence projects such as Phase I ESAs, Transaction Screen ESAs, or Phase II ESAs a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environmental due diligence team environment
Good verbal, technical written, communication, and time management skills are essential
Salary Range: $18.27 - $21.16 per hour
