Environmental Services Manager, Evening Shift, Environmental Services

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Manager for Environmental Services department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As an Environmental Services Manager you will:

  • Provide direct oversight of the environmental services staff in performing daily activities and tasks that supports the operations of the department.
  • Orient, develop, and supervise all supervisory/housekeeping staff.
  • Handle and review customer complaints and concerns to ensure that hospital guests’ expectations are met.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas.
  • Perform daily inspections and assessments while coaching and counseling team members
  • Coordinate services (i.e., Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste, Document Destruction, and Recycling program)
  • Attend and participates in departmental staff meetings, development, and training courses.
  • Participate in facility Quality Assurance Program and Patient Satisfaction Program as required.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with five (5) + years of experience in housekeeping services and three (3) years as supervisor in housekeeping or service-related field with high customer/client contact required.
  • Associate degree with three (3) + years of experience in housekeeping services and two (2) years as supervisor in housekeeping or service-related field with high customer/client contact required.

at least two (2) year supervisory experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday: 3pm -11:30pm, Every Other Weekend and Rotating Holidays

Tobacco and Drug Statement

Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue. In order to promote and maintain a healthy work environment, Adventist HealthCare will not hire applicants for employment who either state that they are nicotine users or who test positive for nicotine and drug use.

As a result, medical marijuana use will not be accepted as a valid explanation for a positive drug test result.

Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing. ("Nicotine products" include, but are not limited to: cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping products, hookah, and nicotine replacement products (e.g., nicotine gum, nicotine patches, nicotine lozenges, etc.).
