JOB SUMMARY

The certified Epic Resolute HB Analyst is a senior specialist and supports core functions of the health system’s processes. This HB role requires Lead level expertise and experience setting up HB for Hospital Outpatient Department billing. Responsible for Epic software analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation as well as application support and issue resolution. Maintains high credibility and ownership of system activities within assigned application. Works independently and successfully engages simultaneously in multiple activities, including cross-functional application initiatives, and provides input on system design and capabilities. Our client is re-building their Epic Rev Cycle program so this role needs to be a strategic thinker, a problem solver, deep expertise in Resolute HB, and comfortable doing advising, analyst work, and light PM level work with our Rev Cycle PM who is already engaged with this client.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Receivables Technology Architecture Assessment:

  • Evaluate the current claims processing architecture, including data flow, integration points, and system interfaces.
  • Assess the scalability and efficiency of the claims system to handle increasing volumes.
  • Ensure technology alignment with coding and billing regulations and compliance and best practice Epic industry standards
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and areas for Epic and third party technology optimization and automation in the claims processing pipeline.
  • Review error handling mechanisms to enhance accuracy and reduce processing delays through automation


Revenue Integrity Technology Assessment:

  • Examine the overall revenue cycle management architecture, from patient registration to reimbursement.
  • Assess the integration of other technology solutions with Epic supporting revenue integrity, such as charge capture and pricing strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Epic and other third systems in identifying and preventing revenue leakage.
  • Recommend Epic design changes to support automated workflows and compliance with billing and reimbursement guidelines, including payer-specific requirements.
  • Review reporting and analytics capabilities for monitoring and optimizing revenue integrity.


Technology Stack Assessment:

  • Evaluate the technology stack supporting claims, revenue integrity, and compliance, including database systems, middleware, and application layers.
  • Assess the compatibility and interoperability of the technology components.
  • Identify opportunities for technology modernization and optimization to enhance system performance.
  • Review disaster recovery and business continuity measures to ensure system resilience.


Recommendations and Roadmap:

  • Provide detailed recommendations for enhancing the architectural design based on assessment findings.
  • Sequence those recommendations to support roadmap development by Revenue Cycle Program Manager to support implementing proposed changes, considering priorities and potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between technology solutions and business objectives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for ongoing monitoring and measurement of the redesigned architecture.


Support Workgroup Stand-up and Enhancement Recommendations:

  • Support new team with setting up weekly ticket governance workgroup


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Minimum five years build experience as a certified Epic Analyst in HB and Claims
  • Experience within a multi-entity, healthcare environment
  • Prior Epic implementation experience
  • Previous experience mentoring team members preferred
  • Great problem solving and ability to bring people from disparate groups to consensus

  • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
  • Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
  • Manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills necessary to be socially perceptive in accepting and relaying information, communicating policies and procedures, and interacting effectively with various personnel.
  • Superior verbal/written English communication skills, including grammatical, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Access, Office Suite, PowerPoint, Project Professional and Outlook) and web browsers
  • Knowledge of documenting workflow design and identifying areas for improvement

  • Epic Resolute HB Certifications
