Calcium+Company is seeking a creative to join our Art team, headquartered in Philadelphia, this Fall. This co-op will allow you to observe and learn the workings and daily activities of a growing, dynamic advertising agency. You will work closely with the Art Director.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a co-op, you will assist with the following:

  • Collaborate with the Copy team to solidify your creative process as you work
  • Study brand guidelines to understand the design aesthetic (i.e., fonts, colors, icons, photography, etc.)
  • Brainstorm a creative concept for a brand based on their unmet need, the target audience they want to reach, and the core idea
  • Work through an entire creative process, from initial layout to route
  • Regularly present your work to your manager and the art team for review
  • Hone your presentation skills
  • Receive and synthesize constructive, creative feedback
  • Master the routing process, implementing necessary changes, and keeping projects moving
  • Attend kick-off meetings to understand the project objectives and timelines

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Full-time rising junior or rising senior, currently enrolled at Drexel University studying Advertising, Graphic Design, Communication Arts, or a similar field
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about marketing and digital strategy, knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Highly collaborative; team player
  • Self-starter; able to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to be nimble and adjust priorities based on Company and client needs
  • Willingness to go beyond what is described in the job description and be flexible for the team and, ultimately, the work
