Field Automation Engineer
Job Summary
Field Automation Engineer needed for a large multi-national company with clients throughout the US. In this role you will be responsible for supporting programming, installation, start up and repair of complex, automated equipment at various sites. This is a remote position that will require to travel to different project sites, you must live near a major airport and will be required to travel 100% of the time. Candidates must have a valid passport and be willing to travel outside of the U.S. for training. Candidates that are fluent in Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- PLC programming ladder and structured text of main PLCs - Rockwell, Siemens and B&R.
- VFD's programming, network managed switches, etc.
- Upstream and downstream interlocks set-up to third party equipment
- Integration of automation peripherals: labelers, check weighers, barcode readers, vision cameras,
- Electrical schematics interpretation and supervision of electrical tasks
- Supervision and coordination of contractors reporting to PM
- Reporting timelines & project updates tp PM
- Working on customer start-up projects
- Documentation of equipment and Projects
- Training to final operators and supervisors about the equipment.
- Service existing equipment within the field - identify errors/failures to determine
the root cause and preventative actions
Qualifications
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors (required)
