Field Service Technician

Our client is in immediate need of a Field Service Technician who will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning and performance of their analytical instruments at customer sites. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of their instruments, providing outstanding technical support to their valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission analytical instruments at customer locations.
• Ensure proper calibration and configuration to meet customer specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance activities to ensure instruments operate at peak performance.
• Keep detailed maintenance records and update service documentation.
• Provide technical support to customers via phone, email or on-site visits.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments promptly and effectively.
• Train customers in the proper use, maintenance and calibration of instruments.
• Offer guidance on optimizing instrument performance.
• Maintain accurate service records, equipment logs and reports.
• Stay current with product advancements and industry trends.
• Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical knowledge.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in servicing and maintaining analytical instruments or similar technical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of water quality analysis principles.

Compensation for this position includes base salary ranging from $70-$90k with performance-based incentives, plus full benefits and growth potential.
