Job Overview
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.
The Department of Internal Medicine is hiring a full time Financial Analyst 1 or Financial Analyst 2. With guidance from supervisors, this individual will monitor, analyze, and report on financial data in the clinical trial unit.
Rank is commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions
Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports.
Prepare financial, data, and statistical analysis reports for clinical trials
Track financial performance and identify variances from the budgets.
Perform budget analysis and assist in the development of budgetary forecasts.
Communicate financial status and issues to project managers, clinical teams and other stakeholders.
Prepare and assist in budget-related statistical analysis, estimates and financial reports.
Assist in the development and input of financial transactions into university systems.
Reconcile invoices and payments with trial budgets and agreements
Ensure proper documentation and approval for all financial transactions

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree must be in accounting or related field.
Required Experience
Related finance or accounting experience.
