Our client, a technological innovator in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Financial Controller to lead their financial and collaborative teams at their New Jersey location. The ideal candidate will have over five years of managing financial operations at a plant or site level and expertise with Hardware business models and ERP systems. This position has a flexible work schedule and great potential for career growth.
Compensation: $130,000-$160,000 plus Bonus
Workplace Policy: Hybrid, three days per week onsite
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all financial operations for the manufacturing site, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to site management for improving financial performance
Monitor and control costs to ensure the site operates within budget and meets financial targets
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
Lead the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
Support site management in strategic planning and decision-making processes by providing financial analysis and guidance
Financial research
Grow and mentor the site’s finance team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
MBA preferred
5+ years of experience in financial management within the manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes
Proficient in ERP systems, Oracle, and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong leadership and team management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
