Roles And Responsibilities
- Policy Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research and analysis on financial policies, regulations, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Evaluate the impact of proposed policy changes on financial operations, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and policy briefs to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Financial Data Analysis:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to assess the effectiveness of existing financial policies and procedures.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support policy analysis and decision-making processes.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure policy outcomes and financial performance.
- Policy Development and Implementation:
- Assist in the development, review, and revision of financial policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
- Support the implementation of new financial policies and initiatives, including training and change management activities.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Assess financial risks associated with policy changes and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal controls related to financial policies.
- Monitor and report on regulatory developments and changes that may impact financial operations and policy frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Build relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on financial policies and provide guidance and support to stakeholders as needed.
- Communicate policy recommendations, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders through presentations, meetings, and written communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, FRM) may be advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial policy analysis, regulatory compliance, or financial management within a corporate or government setting.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and quantitative methods.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and policy development processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools, Microsoft Excel, and other software applications used for data analysis and reporting.
