Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Financial Policy Analyst to join our team. The Financial Policy Analyst will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support the development and implementation of financial policies and strategies. This role requires strong quantitative skills, policy analysis expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Roles And Responsibilities
Policy Research and Analysis:
Conduct research and analysis on financial policies, regulations, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks.
Evaluate the impact of proposed policy changes on financial operations, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
Prepare reports, presentations, and policy briefs to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Financial Data Analysis:
Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to assess the effectiveness of existing financial policies and procedures.
Develop financial models and forecasts to support policy analysis and decision-making processes.
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure policy outcomes and financial performance.
Policy Development and Implementation:
Assist in the development, review, and revision of financial policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
Support the implementation of new financial policies and initiatives, including training and change management activities.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Assess financial risks associated with policy changes and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal controls related to financial policies.
Monitor and report on regulatory developments and changes that may impact financial operations and policy frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
Build relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
Serve as a subject matter expert on financial policies and provide guidance and support to stakeholders as needed.
Communicate policy recommendations, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders through presentations, meetings, and written communications.
Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, FRM) may be advantageous.
3-5 years of experience in financial policy analysis, regulatory compliance, or financial management within a corporate or government setting.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and quantitative methods.
Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and policy development processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in financial analysis tools, Microsoft Excel, and other software applications used for data analysis and reporting.
