Fund Accountant (Multi-Billion $ Hedge Fund - Excellent Development & Progression Opportunities)

I have a mandate for a multi-billion $ hedge fund that was a high profile launch 5 years ago. The firm has logged positive performance every year since inception, and they have 3 offices globally.

The role will report directly to the Controller and have a broad set of responsibilities. It’s a close nit team with one of the core advantages of this role is the opportunity to cross-train across various functions such as operations, trade support or compliance. This will provide a platform for a future career as a CFO/COO.

The firm have demonstrated strong growth in the recent years and are excited about continuing to do so. The expectation is that this individual as the AuM grows will build a small team to help you develop your managerial skills. The firm will also be very supportive of your personal development and provide support for any relevant qualification or skills training such as coding/programming.

You will work closely with the Controller & Tech team to build a scalable and streamlined infrastructure to cope with the growth of the firm. The culture is collaborative and mature, and you will have the opportunity to assume more responsibility as and when you have earned it.

The ideal individual will be a CPA with experience in the financial services industry, either in public accounting or currently working in a hedge fund. You will be curious, inquisitive and driven to gain an understanding of the innerworkings of a hedge fund from front to back.
