Fund Analyst

As a Fund Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting all aspects of investment analysis and financial reporting responsibilities on behalf of Venerable Investment Advisers. This role will assume primary responsibility for implementing the adviser’s reporting infrastructure that will be used to measure, monitor, and report investment performance and risk of our registered funds both internally and to an independent board of trustees. This position will be in our West Chester, PA office location.

• Support the general activities of the investment adviser, focusing primarily on investments and fund administration
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting on performance and risk to be used in the regular analysis of the investment options and Board reporting
• Become an expert in the use of various reporting tools used to analyze the portfolios, including Bloomberg and various third-party service provider systems
• Support the subadvisor selection process, including ongoing research and analysis
• Gather and analyze data to support current investment processes and research new methods to support investment optimization
• Support the process of developing and monitoring fund investment guidelines
• Assist with daily NAV oversight, monthly financial reporting and reconciliation activities for both the adviser and the funds
• Assist with regulatory reporting, such as N-Port & N-Cen filings
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects, as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field strongly preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in asset management and/or fund accounting/administration
• Very detail-oriented with a solid foundation in Excel
• Demonstrated understanding of mutual funds
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Interest in or progress towards CFA designation a plus
