ABOUT THE ROLE

• Manage all aspects of field construction, including subcontractor selection, scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance.
• Develop a project plan with the Project Manager, including scopes, subcontractors, and a detailed construction schedule.
• Prepare and maintain reports documenting project status, issues, and resolutions.
• Verify accuracy of drawings and plans, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage material deliveries, scheduling them to integrate with project work and building access.
• Lead weekly project meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Implement and enforce a comprehensive safety program to ensure a safe work environment.
• Develop a site utilization plan, including phasing, sequencing, and temporary utility needs.
• Secure permits, mobilize on-site, establish security and building control protocols, and plan construction phases.
• Implement housekeeping procedures, maintain safety signage and documentation, and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Manage subcontractor scopes of work, daily progress, and compliance with plans and specifications.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or equivalent experience with 10-15 years of commercial construction superintendent experience (ground-up projects preferred).
• Strong supervisory experience and well-developed communication, decision-making, financial analysis, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and architects.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects valued between $50 million and $150 million.
