This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a Senior Manager, Informatoin Security for the US and Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a comprehensive information security program, created in partnership with the global information security teams, and deployed regionally with any relevant localizations needed.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will report to the Head of Digital Core and be responsible for all information security needs and programs across the US and Canada. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team of professionals and a large degree of autonomy. You will serve as a trusted advisor across the company to advise on information security topics.

Key Responsibilities

• Builds a strong relationship with global information security teams to identify global initiatives. Assesses and implements these initiatives within the US and Canada.
• Advises cross-functional teams on technology selections and decisions to achieve target state cybersecurity on improvements to current cybersecurity parameters
• Collaborates to create accessible and scalable coding frameworks on the public cloud for new system design patterns
• Regularly participates in Volvo Car Financial Services board meetings to provide cybersecurity updates
• Develops secure and high-quality practices for code review and debugging
• Oversees the planning and execution of tests and other exercises to validate the overall security of Volvo Cars information technology landscape
• Ensures our technical methods in cybersecurity are in line with the latest development methodologies
• Develops and coaches information security team members to grow their technical skills and interpersonal competencies to continue to evolve and strengthen the team.
• Conducts regular contract and vendor reviews to ensure partners are in compliance with cybersecurity standards and policies.
• Works closely with contracts, legal, and data protection teams to advise business stakeholders on new initiatives or requests.
  
  

Requirements

• 15 years experience in information security roles, with at least 5 years of people leadership
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CASE, or GWEB
• Practical experience in cybersecurity architecture that can be applied and reused across digital teams, functions, and systems
• Experience in handling and assessing technical risk.
• Comprehensive skills in cloud security, data security, infrastructure security, endpoint/platform security, security analytics, authentication/identity management, mobile security, and application security.
• Experience conducting architectural and code reviews
• Knowledge of applied cryptography and security protocols, such as Transport Layer Security, OAuth, OpenID Connect
• Programming experience in at least one of the following languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript)
• Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable, in-depth knowledge in public cloud, and mobile app development
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning would be beneficial.
• Effectively communicates with senior leaders and executives and has a high level of integrity and confidentiality as it relates to the organization.
