Reporting to the Head of IT Operations & Infrastructure, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader of desktop and workforce productivity engineering to join our Technology team. The Head of IT Workspace will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of our desktop and productivity tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our workforce. This role will require a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and excellent leadership skills to drive innovation and efficiency across our organization.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for desktop and workforce productivity engineering aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of engineers and IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic direction on the adoption and integration of new technologies to enhance workforce productivity.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align IT initiatives with business priorities and to advocate for necessary resources and investments.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and management of desktop environments, including operating systems, software applications, and hardware configurations.
  • Ensure the stability, security, and performance of all desktop and productivity tools across the organization.
  • Drive the implementation of automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of new tools and technologies.
  • Establish and oversee a robust support framework to address technical issues and provide exceptional user support.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee proficiency with desktop and productivity tools.
  • Monitor and analyze support metrics to identify areas for improvement and to ensure high levels of user satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices related to desktop and productivity engineering.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • As a senior leader, you will also be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team and supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels.
  • You will drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.
  • As a senior leader of Alter Domus, you will maintain a relentless focus on cost and budget discipline, driving a culture of accountability.
  • As a senior leader, you will promote and build the Alter Domus brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as a role model to our people, partners, clients and customers.
  • You will be accountable for ensuring that the maintains the highest Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) standards.


PROFILE


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on desktop engineering and workforce productivity.
  • Strong technical expertise in desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), productivity tools (Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace), and endpoint management solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing large-scale global IT projects.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in the financial sector.

Salary range - $150k - $200k
