As Ninety continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on a Head of Platform Engineering who will lead multiple product development teams and who will report to the Head of Engineering.

As the Head of Platform Engineering, you will lead multiple engineering teams, driving the strategic direction and execution of our software development initiatives. This role is suited for a seasoned generalist with extensive experience in SaaS operations and distributed systems, capable of navigating and integrating diverse technologies and frameworks. You will be responsible for ensuring that our teams deliver software to production daily, maintaining a high level of technical excellence and operational efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the technical strategy for multiple engineering teams, aligning it with overall business goals and objectives
• Team Development: Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top engineering talent, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Technical Oversight: Ensure the architectural integrity and scalability of software systems, guiding teams through complex technical challenges and decision-making processes
• Daily Production Delivery: Establish and maintain processes that enable the continuous and reliable delivery of software to production environments
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership, product managers, and other stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment with business needs
• Innovation & Improvement: Promote the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices, driving innovation across engineering teams
• Operational Excellence: Implement and optimize operational processes, including SRE and Delivery Engineering practices, security, and performance monitoring
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the stability and security of our software systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in CI/CD environments, with high frequency deployments
• Observability and testing practices for event driven, distributed systems
• API design experience
• Database management, migrations between document and relational databases
• Mobile web/native
