Role summary
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Head of Sales strategically leads the Account team. Responsible for leveraging data + insights to determine how to strategically manage and grow the US accounts to achieve organizational key performance indicators most efficiently. The Head of Sales is eager to grow and nurture the retail accounts through the development of meaningful and impactful relationships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategy to drive growth in our US specialty accounts + Salon, working closely with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Creative and Product Development to unlock new avenues of growth and optimize existing strategies.
- Deliver differentiated channel strategy and revenue opportunities within each retailer account and quantify the revenue potential.
- Consistently monitor and optimize account performance. Gather and analyze data to determine the most effective strategies to deliver exceptional account performance.
- Understand industry specific trends and landscapes. Apply understandings to drive business results.
- Lead Account Directors to strategize and execute brand strategy within each retailer to drive sales goals, including but not limited to, launch plans, category ownership, and differentiation strategy.
- Ensure 360 launch plans are built in accordance with brand innovation calendar, Trade Marketing, Marketing and Digital teams.
- Utilize new product development (NPD) timelines provided by cross-functional teams to determine launch dates based on retailer timelines.
- Responsible for delivering brand promotional strategy, making profitable recommendations that support organization strategic objectives.
- Lead the development of retail sales & wholesale goals and budget. Responsible for monitoring the Specialty + Salon P&L and tracking ROI on key investments.
- Owner of US OPEX for all US Specialty + Salon accounts, ensuring we are spending to expectation and meeting ROI goals.
- Work collaboratively with Director of Education and Field to set sales goals and benchmarks for field team and input/align on strategy to meet retailer specific needs and goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 10 years of relevant experience in wholesale beauty
- Experience partnering with Sephora and/or Ulta required.
- Proven leadership experience inspiring employees to meet and exceed goals + support growth and development of team members
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on delivering outcomes within established timelines.
- Ability to excel in a remote work environment with minimal supervision, demonstrating adaptability and autonomy.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a talent for translating data insights into actionable strategies.
- Outstanding organizational abilities, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset at the forefront.
- Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and effectively navigate organizational challenges.

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Briogeo / Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $185,000 - $190,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Briogeo / Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
