Job overview:

This role will lead product design and content strategy efforts to design digital experiences, products and features that drive value, are easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. This role will partner with Digital Product Management, Front-end Development, Digital Strategy and cross-functional partners to scope and design solutions & establish UX design standards that create value across all digital touchpoints (web, native mobile apps, kiosks, in-room, messaging, and other displays/screens). This role will create best-in-class digital experiences while also establishing cross-functional processes, and help teams navigate change.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Work with key stakeholders to design high-quality digital experiences for Guests, Team Members, and Oneida Indian Nation Members across business lines, system platforms, and product surfaces
  • Lead UX, product design, and content strategy functions through internal and external agency engagements
  • Build a talented, diverse, inclusive team of designers and researchers
  • Motivate Stakeholders partners and the team to create experience solutions that are world class, simple, elegant, usable and constantly push boundaries to put Turning Stone Enterprises at the forefront of experience design
  • Act as the voice of user experience fearlessly articulating UX vision and strategy
  • Lead and contribute to the creation of concepts, personas, user journeys, storyboards, system maps, user flows, wireframes, visual design comps, and prototypes
  • Partner with Digital product and engineering teams (internal and external) to ensure designs are properly implemented,
  • Work in in rapid, iterative cycles for continuous improvement of experiences
  • Understand and leverage qualitative and quantitative research be able to apply it to UX design decision making
  • Participate in and help drive an understanding of end-to-end Experience; leveraging input from Voice of the Guest/Team Member initiatives to drive true product improvement.
  • Apply industry trends and exemplars with skill and relevancy to digital product development
  • Be an evangelist for inclusive design at all times


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Make positive impact in a fast-moving and ever-evolving organization that puts Guests, Team Members, and Oneida Nation Members at the center
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary UX design teams that work across many touchpoints (mobile, desktop, email, SMS, in room technology, kiosks, etc.)
  • A successful track record of establishing foundational processes, overseeing internal and/or external agency relationships
  • Built leading experience-focused teams, as well as growing and retaining talent
  • Have previously built a Design practice from scratch inclusive of methodology and practices for user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, usability testing, and accessibility.
  • Works closely with product management, front-end development and project management leaders as part of the product development process utilizing Scrum/Agile design (or similar), A/B testing, and KPI measurement for UX
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect strategic vision to day-to-day practicality
  • You are adept at using software that facilitates design discovery and execution (e.g figma)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
  • 10+ years experience leading design for multiple touchpoint platforms and devices, such as mobile, desktop, email, SMS, in room technology and kiosks etc.
  • Hospitality and Gaming experience is a plus, experience leveraging technology to solve Guest-facing problems is a must
