Are you passionate about health information systems and looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We are seeking a dedicated Health Information Systems Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in overseeing, maintaining, and optimizing our databases, focusing on electronic health records (EHR) and related systems. This is a full-time, remote position, with a Monday through Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Health Information System Management: Monitor EHR performance, manage system communications, and oversee EMR user licenses and access privileges.
System Procurement and Vendor Relations: Coordinate the acquisition of new health information systems, manage vendor relationships, and review invoices.
Database Updates and Testing: Review and test updates to ensure compatibility and functionality.
Regulatory Reporting: Manage regulatory reporting and coordinate with relevant agencies (e.g., PAS, GPRA, Chemung, OMH PCS).
System Rollout and Feedback Integration: Assist in coordinating system rollouts and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
Data Management: Collaborate with the team to create, audit, and distribute clinical and billing data from health information systems.
Process Improvement: Recommend updates to enhance compliance, workflows, cash flow, and management tools.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and resolve end-user issues.
Population Health Initiatives: Contribute to population health and value-based care initiatives.
Project Participation: Collaborate on agency projects, grants, and initiatives, ensuring systems support necessary workflows, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Secondary Functions
Interdisciplinary Team Contribution: Work as part of interdisciplinary teams.
Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure system compliance.
Technology Updates: Keep current with technology trends to drive innovation and compliance.
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Technical Proficiency: Experience with databases such as 10e11, PSYCKES, RHIO, and Microsoft Excel.
Report Preparation: Ability to prepare and present professional reports.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Customer Service: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit, stand, walk, use stairs, and operate hand controls.
Occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds.
Capable of perceiving sound, seeing near and far, and providing oral information.
Work Environment
Adhere to a tobacco and alcohol-free workplace policy.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Experience: At least two years in database administration or similar roles. Experience with EHR systems (10e11), RHIO, and/or population health platforms preferred.
Compensation And Benefits
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
