The EHS Coordinator's primary responsibility is to aid in the establishment, execution, and upkeep of the company's environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives. This role involves ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and policies, while promoting a safety-focused and environmentally responsible culture within the organization.


Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in formulating, implementing, and managing EHS policies, protocols, and programs.
  2. Collaborate with different departments to integrate EHS programs and align them with company goals.
  3. Support ongoing efforts to improve EHS performance through continuous enhancement initiatives.
  4. Coordinate and conduct EHS training sessions to educate staff on pertinent topics such as hazard identification, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  5. Maintain accurate training records and ensure accessibility of documentation.
  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with EHS regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
  7. Aid in regulatory inspections, audits, and reporting obligations.
  8. Maintain essential permits and ensure timely renewal.
  9. Assist in incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analyses to determine corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  10. Analyze incident data to identify improvement areas and prioritize EHS projects.
  11. Conduct routine workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and instances of non-compliance.
  12. Assist in creating and executing risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and corrective measures to mitigate hazards.
  13. Support the development and upkeep of emergency response plans, procedures, and training sessions.
  14. Participate in emergency drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in environmental, health, and safety positions.
