The HR Intern is responsible for a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. This individual will assist the HR department with building and implementing the company’s HR strategy across all restaurant concepts.
Responsibilities:
On-board new employees, setting them up in all platforms
Assist in preparing training materials
Research recruiting trends, knowledgeable on the hiring strategies within the industry
Assist with college recruiting efforts
Assist with Work Travel Programs, including the J1 and H2B process
Update HR policies and procedures
Assist with maintaining updated records
Manage training certifications and employee annual training
Coordinate events focused on employee recognition
Assist with staff inquiries
Greet visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Provide visitors with information and direct them accordingly
Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party
Assist with ad hoc projects and other HR and Office administrative duties
Qualifications:
Interest in Human Resources, recruiting, or other related fields
Strong team player with the ability to work comfortably with people of diverse skills, responsibilities and personalities
Meticulous attention to detail and desire to improve processes
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Must have high energy level, enthusiasm, creativity and resourcefulness
