POSITION SUMMARY

Aurora is a rapidly growing company with opportunities to continue transformation of our distribution methods and processes in the PDC. The Inventory Control Quality Assurance Manager is directly responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, and Inventory Management for the PDC. The ICQA Manager is responsible to drive high customer satisfaction by supporting a great working environment and ensuring efficient throughput to meet customer demand. The ICQA Manager works closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Primary focus includes managing safety, cycle count and inventory management, quality management, training, data collection and analysis, customer claims management, continuous improvement, and lean activities. Direct reports include Inventory Management Supervisor and Training Supervisor.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with warehouse team to solve immediate day-to-day operational issues.
  • Monitor, report, and drive key service level metrics for fulfillment to ensure that we are providing an excellent customer experience and delivering on our promise.
  • Create and implement operational strategy and innovation to drive business goals for revenue, operational performance, and profitability.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with effective communication and thorough follow through.
  • Establish sound process improvement initiatives that drive year over year improvement, as well as streamline and optimize day-to-day operations.
  • Manage processes to ensure flow of material of all products from receipt to shipment to the customer. Will work closely with Transportation, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, and regional PDC staff.
  • Manage safety and compliance for the facility.
  • Establish operational procedures for distribution center activities such as verification of incoming shipments, processing of outbound shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and the movement and storage of inventory (coordination of fiscal inventory).
  • Establish/maintain operational procedures for cycle counting and problem resolution of inventory including:
  • Strategic inventory planning
  • Monitor inventory performance
  • Measure inventory accuracy
  • Analyze inventory slotting/FSA
  • Analyze bin layout
  • Monitor storage conditions
  • Oversee cycle count program
  • Manage inventory KPIs
  • Reduce shrink
  • Manage day-to-day operations in the absence of the Assistant General Manager.
  • Manage projects as assigned and ensure project boards are maintained.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.
  • Other duties as assigned by management. Supports regional PDC’s as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages operational processes throughout the PDC, including receiving discrepancies, claim resolution, and cycle counting & inventory management. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include development and implementation of process improvements utilizing lean concepts and thinking.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Warehouse and/or manufacturing leadership experience is required
  • Supervisory experience is required
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills are required including capabilities using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Attention to detail and task completion skills.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including experience with developing meeting content and presenting information to a group of people.
  • Familiarity with tractor trailer/heavy duty equipment industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse associate management including scheduling, payroll time and attendance, and vacation approvals, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

  • Work is normally performed in a warehouse work environment.
  • Work is typically performed between 7:00am and 6:00pm, with occasional time required between 6pm and 7am.
  • Generally limited exposure to physical risk. Bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional air/land travel required.
