A corporation is seeking a Contract Law Attorney to play a critical role in providing legal counsel and support on various contractual and corporate matters. Reporting to the Senior Director, General Counsel and being supported by the Contracts Administrator, the incumbent will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts described below. Additionally, the Contract Law Attorney will conduct legal research, develop contract management policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contract terms align with business objectives. The Contract Law Attorney will also manage the Company's growing IP portfolio under the General Counsel's direction, working closely with IP counsel to ensure that filings are timely reviewed and made.
Education Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
5+ years of experience practicing contract law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Strong knowledge of contract law principles and contract drafting techniques.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to effectively communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Certification(s): Authorized House Counsel, if necessary
License(s): License to practice law in any State. If not licensed to practice in the State of Florida, must hold an Authorized House Counsel certification with The Florida Bar
