As a Cloud Engineer, you will be crucial in supporting the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, data protection, and virtualization.
Your primary responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure issues, implementing and optimizing backup and disaster recovery strategies, and maintaining data integrity and availability. Additionally, you will be responsible for routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and security.
Accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions is essential.
Location:
Our home office is based in Cincinnati, OH. However, we are open to hiring someone who is fully remote regardless of location. Although the position will be remote, there might be some occasional travel to ERPS facilities or customer sites.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for IT infrastructure incidents and service requests, including servers, storage, data protection, and virtualization.
Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure components, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
Implement and enforce security best practices in the cloud environment, staying informed about the latest threats and addressing vulnerabilities proactively.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture and processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Expertise in AWS or OCI support and design, with strong disaster recovery skills.
Experience with data protection and disaster recovery, and familiarity with industry-standard hypervisors (certification is a plus).
Proficiency with tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, CloudFormation, AWS IAM, AWS ELB, and Veeam.
10+ years of experience preferred.
Strong experience with VMware in various configurations and versions.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills.
