Position Summary
The Instructional Designer is responsible for consulting with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), conducting thorough needs analyses, designing and developing content that drives achievement of business objectives, and aiding in evaluation of the effectiveness of learning initiatives. The Instructional Designer enables employee performance through the creation of effective training materials including eLearning and virtual instructor-led-training (vILT).
Position Responsibilities
- For assigned projects, consult with SMEs to analyze learning objectives, business processes, and the best training method to achieve business goals.
- Design and develop interactive eLearning modules with a focus on simulated practice of what employees need to do in their jobs.
- Design and develop interactive vILT courses that do not rely solely on lecture or demonstration.
- Independently manage projects and priorities, consulting with the Dir, Clinical Training & Development as needed.
- Use core instructional design principles and theories to maximize learning.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, social sciences, or related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience as an Instructional Designer with a focus on interactive eLearning design and development.
- Portfolio of work.
- Experience working with SMEs at all levels of an organization.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience working in healthcare or related fields.
- Experience working with clinicians.
- Master’s degree in instructional design/technology.
- Advanced user of Articulate Storyline.
- 3+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer.
- 100% remote position
- Reports to Dir, Clinical Training & Development
- FLSA Status exempt, salary
- The salary range for this role is $71,760 to $80,000 per year. This information reflects the anticipated salary for this position using current national data. The final offer will be determined based on an individual’s skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
