Responsible for supporting classroom teachers and administration by focusing work directly on improving instruction as the primary avenue to improve student outcomes; and for supporting professional development of skills in critical areas such as a positive classroom climate, implementation of instructional and intervention strategies for all students including English Language Learners and students with disabilities, support of classroom management, analysis of student work, differentiation of instruction, and other areas as required.
Education, Training & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Education, or related field
Four years’ experience teaching
Two years of Highly Effective or Effective Value-Added Model (VAM) ratings
Two years’ experience in a leadership or mentoring role
OR
Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
Valid Florida Educator's Certificate in assigned subject area or grade level
