We seek a design and technical-minded individual that brings creativity and ownership to the office each day. The purpose of this Interior Design position is to lead the discipline responsibilities for the project and client team by completing working drawings and specifications for projects. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, client engagement, finish plan development, product selections for review, casework layouts, interior elevations, renderings, millwork design and detailing, interior signage drawings, furniture plans and related bid documents.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES + EXPECTATIONS.
Design Based:
Work as project lead on varying scales and project typologies
Develop design documents to illustrate programs, materials, and design solutions in 2d and 3d
Understand project team expectations in Programming, Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Development, and Construction Administration.
Exhibit strong design capabilities in space planning, the appropriate and creative application of finishes, custom designed millwork, and interior architecture.
Technical Focused:
Perform coordination efforts with the project team in creation of interior design documents
Assist design team and project coordination team in the detailing, model building, and illustration of design documents
Work with the project team to review and revise product specifications for the project manual
Review shop drawings and submittals
Research and understand code requirements and barrier-free guidelines for the interior environment
Create presentation documents and 3D renderings using Revit, Enscape, Lumion or other 3d software
Client and Professional Based:
Continue to refine design and technical skills
Attend meetings to set goals and objectives for the project(s).
Meet with product representatives to learn options and trends in the industry
Foster strong client relationships and continuing engagement
Mentor junior design team members and promote learning opportunities
Delegate work assignments for growth, matching responsibility to individuals and providing mentorship and coaching
Work independently and connect with Department Manager for reviews and resources

Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program
Five to Seven years of professional Interior Design experience
Working toward or have obtained NCIDQ Certification
Proficient in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop and InDesign
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word and Excel.
3D Computer graphic skills preferred, as well as hand sketching ability. Proficiency in Enscape is a plus
Knowledge of building code, barrier-free and ADA requirements as they impact interior design
Dynamic graphic presentations with solid design and communication skills
Understand constructability and material selections that relate to design expression
