How To Make The Team

The New York Islanders are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Retail Planning/Buying Intern to help support the Retail team’s efforts by tracking the performance of specific products, product lines and overall traffic to the Isles Lab store. Using this data and information, assist the retail team in developing strategies to maximize sales. The intern will help the team create unique strategies based on the performance and visibility of the individual products or lines. They will also assist the team in the tracking and reporting of our financial goals as well as monitor how Isles Lab is performing in relation to its 2024-2025 season goals.

Show Us You Can

• Assist Merchandise Manager with all admin duties such as creating PO’s, vendor management, inventory recaps, market research, etc.
• Develop strategies for product launches with the retail team
• Analyze and develop reports using Microsoft Excel
• Have a passion for products and an interest in weaving a story out of numbers
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• A good eye for detail with experience in visual merchandising
• Attend most home games at UBS Arena and assist in generating sales
• Other tasks include internal department order fulfillment, customer communication and tracking merchandise deliveries

• Background in fashion
• Strong work ethic
• Master in Excel
• Game-night availability
• Prior retail experience
• Prior experience with Microsoft Illustrator is a plus
  
  

Where You’ll Go

• Attend all preseason, regular season games and postseason games; attend additional events upon request
