Position Title : Intern, Scripted TV
Compensation Range: $17.28/hr
FLSA : Non-Exempt/Part-time
Schedule: Fall Cohort (Sept. 23 - Dec. 13)
Location : Los Angeles, CA

CJ ENM also operates KCON, the largest Korean pop culture fan convention and concert series, which launched in LA as a one-day event in 2012 and has exponentially scaled over a decade to become a global event that has expanded from Los Angeles to New York and across the world to destinations like Japan, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Paris.
CJ ENM has played a key role in not only leading Korea’s culture and content in entertainment for the past 25 years, but also continues to grow the expansion of Korean entertainment globally.
Position Overview: CJ ENM America is currently seeking interns to join its scripted television team. The candidate should have a strong desire to learn about the global television industry, scripted series development and creative processes. The ideal candidate would be pursuing a college or graduate school degree (or recently graduated) in film, media studies, or English / creative writing. This is a paid part-time internship located in our Downtown Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities :
∙ Reviewing creative materials (scripts, novels, webtoons, etc.) and providing strong written feedback or coverage for development executives.
∙ Writing episodic synopses for CJ ENM Korean drama formats and IP.
∙ Researching potential project ideas and trending topics to aid creative development.
∙ (If bilingual) Translating (Korean to English and/or vice versa) and localizing creative documents.
∙ General admin duties as needed.
Experience & Skills:
∙ Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months.
∙ Possesses a passion for television and / or international scripted content.
∙ Must be at least 18 years of age.
∙ Possess unrestricted work authorization.
∙ Fluency in Korean (reading, writing, and speaking) is not a requirement, but a plus.
∙ Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Google Suite, Dropbox, Airtable, Adobe, etc.).
∙ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
