$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr
We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Internal Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating all pertinent financial information associated with our buying programs to ensure its accuracy. Additionally, the audit specialist will identify recovery opportunities by performing post-payment recovery audits and managing audit-related projects.
Responsibilities
Review and evaluate financial information including buyers’ files, purchase orders, merchandise invoices, and accounts payable/receivable history.
Lead and complete audit-related projects with efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct reconciliations of complex merchandise-driven vendor programs over several years to ascertain accuracy and completeness.
Manage and track personal claim production.
Present claims to management, vendors, and buying staff for review and approval.
Provide complete and accurate supporting documentation to management, buyers, and vendors.
Recommend improvements in payment-related operations to prevent future losses to client companies.
Leverage internal and external tools to implement audit routines and manage claim lifecycle.
Carry out journal entries to either the general ledger or vendor AP sub-ledger to ensure the accuracy of our financial statements.
Support the department and colleagues as and when required.
