Job/Internship Description PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES Under general supervision and following established procedures, provides paraprofessional and clerical support in the development and administration of Human Resource programs in such areas as employment, employee relations, and personnel records. ESSENTIAL DUTIES - other duties may be assigned Maintains Human Resources records and files, entering and maintaining accurate data in human resource information system. Enters and prepares status change reports to monitor personnel transactions. Assist in various projects within the human resources department. Learn about the company's HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related stuff to be able to respond to any internal staff inquiries. Assisting in the planning of company events. Work in co-op with HR staff if needed to complete annual HR duties EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government. Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field. Proven experience working in an office environment. Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws. Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES The ability to work as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Effective communication skills.
