The Skokie Park District is hiring a full-time IT Assistant to support the district. This individual will provide application and technical support, and assist with supporting other applications utilized by the District. Additionally, this individual will perform help desk functions, install hardware and software, and work closely and in conjunction with IT Department staff to ensure the smooth delivery of I.T. services.
Essential Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
Provides end user support related to network, phones, PC's, peripherals and Windows applications including Microsoft Office.
Level 1 Windows and Office 365 Administration (password resets, add/move/delete users and computer accounts)
Working knowledge of Windows Server administration -security patches, Active Directory, file, and print management.
Working knowledge of Network Administration - firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
RingCentral VoIP administration.
Process new technology requests and employee onboarding/offboarding.
Installation, configuration and maintaining PC's on a local area network.
Assist with installation and use of multimedia technologies, including but not limited to audio/visual equipment, projectors, digital media displays, etc.
Assist with installation and maintenance of District's hardware and software upgrades.
Investigate, diagnose, solve and prevent viruses, malware and hacking attempts.
Support the IT Systems and Support Manager with daily operational and technical projects.
Assist with procurement and deployment of new IT solutions for the Park District.
Qualifications
Education: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED). Prefer an individual with a degree in Information Technology, but not required. Current up to date certifications from A+, Network+, or Security + desired, but not required.
Experience: Prefer at least one to two (1-2) years of relevant help desk and technical support experience in a corporate environment. Experience with Vermont Systems (RecTrac, MainTrac) a plus. Must have the ability and aptitude to learn software programs in use at the District. Must have strong PC skills.
Certifications: Must possess a valid Illinois Drivers' license. Must be able to obtain and keep current CPR/AED certification.
