Description

Truly Good Foods has sales and distribution offices in Orlando, Atlanta, Washington DC, Reno, Dallas and Charlotte, NC. Our SQF, Kosher and organic production facility in Charlotte roasts nuts & seeds daily and blends over 60 bulk snack mixes. These facilities also package and re-box many of our items to meet our customers' varied needs. Charlotte is our corporate headquarters, and is home to purchasing, accounting, and sales & marketing offices.

Job Summary

The IT System Administrator supports and administers technical equipment and the enterprise software solutions. Diagnosing and solving hardware and software faults and troubleshooting system and network problems.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties

  • Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes service requests received from users regarding computer performance.
  • Must be flexible, able to manage a variety of tasks and problems, and have good troubleshooting skills.
  • The specific technological knowledge and skills vary widely according to the specific needs of the business or organization, but will include a range of hardware, programs, and systems, including standard Microsoft business software.
  • Performs diagnostics with user to collect information to determine source of error.
  • Isolates performance issues to determine cause of hardware malfunctions, such as hard drive, modem, printer, cables, or telephone.
  • Contacts software and hardware vendors to research problems and determine recommended solutions.
  • Performs initial software load and user-specific setup for standard desktop applications.
  • Troubleshoots PC hardware and software problems and identifies, categorizes, and resolves PC hardware and software application problems.
  • Participates in creation and maintenance of IT standards and procedures.
  • Evaluates software and hardware to determine whether product will be an effective tool for employees and writes software and hardware evaluations and recommendations for management review.
  • Ensures timely resolution/referral of user problems by documenting the impact to the user and by assigning an appropriate priority and resolution goal.
  • Maintains users access rights and privileges within network specifications.
  • Ensures users are properly maintained in the Active Directory.
  • Resolves remote access issues, printing issues, and networks connectivity issues.
  • Adheres to company Policy and Procedures.
  • Performs duties as workload necessitates.
  • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Communicates regularly with supervisor and about department issues.
  • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize.
  • Consistently reports to work on time, prepared to perform duties of position.
  • Meets department productivity standards.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

Scope of Responsibility

  • This job will have periodic access to confidential data including financial statements, company records and/or minutes, customer quotes, and company plans, designs, and/or programs.
  • This job works under only general instructions and is expected to determine how to accomplish the work assignment with limited supervision.
  • Afterhours and weekend work will be required from time to time.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

  • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read and understand English.
  • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, system hardware and software, and computer server systems.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Information Technology or another related field of study from four-year college or university; and three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have three to four years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Dynamics GP experience a plus.
  • A+ certification preferred.
  • SQL & EDI programming experience preferred.

Physical Demands

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in an office and warehouse environment and disruptions occur frequently.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Travel Required

  • The employee may be required to travel up to 15% of the time by air or land.
