Junior Business Analyst

Marathon TS is looking for a Junior-Level Business Analyst that will support our client. This role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, identifying process improvements, and ensuring alignment between business strategies and IT solutions. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to document and translate business needs into actionable solutions, facilitate workshops, and support technical integration and transition activities.

Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

• Assist in conducting analysis of business requirements and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Help collect and document current state architectures for applications, systems, or platforms to support retirement assessments.
• Support the mapping of system requirements from the current state to the modernized state to ensure scope of retirement.
  
  

Business Strategy And Alignment

• Assist in the development of enterprise-wide strategies and architectures.
• Help align business strategies with IT solutions and capabilities.
• Provide support for decision-making related to transition planning and architectural alignment with the IRS's long-term business and technology vision.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Analyze business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Assist in developing and documenting business cases for process improvements and new initiatives.
• Work with stakeholders to implement process changes and monitor their impact.
  
  

Documentation And Reporting

• Prepare business requirement documents, functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
• Maintain project documentation, including status reports and meeting minutes.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  
  

Stakeholder Engagement

• Facilitate workshops and meetings with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and discuss solutions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of business needs and project goals.
• Develop presentations and reports to share findings and recommendations with senior analysts and leadership.
  
  

Technical Integration Support

• Assess the impact of target and transition states on ongoing modernization programs like Digitalization, IMF Modernization, BMF Modernization, ECM, EDA, API, and CES.
• Support gaining concurrence and alignment from related programs.
• Assist in transition activities for the IDRS program to execute the delivered solution architecture.
• Work with the IDRS Retirement Program Office to share target and transition state solution architecture and roadmap for executive socialization and approval.
