Position Overview:
Are you a recent graduate in Electrical Engineering with a passion for innovation and a desire to kickstart your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? Look no further! Join Lanco as a Junior Electrical Engineer and embark on an exciting journey in electrical engineering. In this entry-level role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems for our range of off-road equipment, including Rubber Tired Gantry Cranes, Carry Deck Cranes, and Industrial Fork Truck Attachments.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with our seasoned engineering team, contributing to the design and implementation of electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, control panels, and circuit layouts.
Work on smaller segments of projects under the mentorship of senior engineers, actively participating in electrical engineering aspects and gaining valuable experience.
Dive into the world of programming PLCs, with guidance and mentorship, to control and optimize equipment functions.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for our equipment, making user interaction and monitoring more intuitive.
Learn and ensure compliance with industry-specific standards, including NFPA 79, the National Electric Code (NEC), and UL 508A, in all electrical designs and modifications.
Participate in electrical testing and troubleshooting activities, collaborating with the team to identify and resolve issues.
Engage in cross-functional collaboration to integrate electrical systems into our equipment projects and share your fresh ideas and insights.
Stay updated on industry-specific standards and best practices in electrical engineering, with a focus on the off-road equipment industry.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Limited professional experience or recent graduate.
Enthusiasm for electrical engineering and a passion for innovation.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor is a plus, but not required.
Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
