Junior Network Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our IT team. In this entry-level position, you will assist in the management, maintenance, and support of our network infrastructure. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our network systems and providing technical support to ensure network reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers and switches); Assist in network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations; Provide Level-1/2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues; Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure; Assist in the implementation of security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team; Liaise with other IT personnel for problem resolution; Proven hands-on network experience; CCNA or higher; Familiar with networking fundamentals such as 802.11, VLan and VRFs; Good understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model; Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.

Qualifications

• Cisco family of routers and switches (Catalyst); Juniper family of router, switches and Mist. InfoBlox IPAM, DNS and DHCP.
• Solarwinds NPM.
  
  

Additional Details

The base range for this contract position is $40 - $80/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
